Adolescent Dog Obedience

Who: For dogs age 6-18 months

What: This 6-week course covers all the basic obedience commands (such as Sit, Stay, Down, Heel, Drop, Off, and Come) as well as dog ownership basics including socialization, handling, kids & dogs, and problem-solving tips for chewing, playbiting, barking, digging, stealing, pulling on the lead and jumping.

This fun but intensive course is designed to teach you, the owner, how to train your dog now and in the future: Your dog's success will depend on you and your family's willingness to practice several times daily as well as to read several articles and other handouts supplied during the course.

Cost: $120 (due at signup; non-refundable after 48 hours)

Class Size: Limited to 8 dogs

What to Bring: Please bring a completed Dog days application (in our brochure) or click here to complete and send our application online. Also, bring your dog's regular dinner in a baggie (do not feed him dinner on class nights; we will use what you bring as a training aid), and your dog's regular leash and collar.

Health Requirements: All dogs must have written proof of current Rabies, Distemper/Parvo AND Intratrac vaccinations. All dogs must be spayed or neutered. All dogs will be checked for fleas prior to admission to each class (we recommend prescription flea control).

Note to Parents: We encourage you to bring 1 well-behaved child per dog per class.
